CVE-2023-5114

CVSS v3.1

5.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions idbbee plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0
Description The issue is related to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's 'idbbee' shortcode due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.0, update the idbbee plugin to a version that addresses the insufficient input sanitization and output escaping issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the 'idbbee' shortcode for users with contributor-level permissions and above until a patch is available.
