CVE-2023-5336

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions iPanorama 360 – WordPress Virtual Tour Builder plugin versions up to, and including, 1.8.0
Description The issue is related to SQL Injection via the plugin's shortcode due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries, which can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.8.0, update to a version that addresses the SQL Injection issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's shortcode to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict permissions to prevent authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions from appending additional SQL queries. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
