| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Ninja Forms Contact Form WordPress plugin versions prior to 3.6.34
Description
The issue allows high privilege users, such as admins, to perform Stored XSS attacks due to the lack of sanitization and escaping of its label fields. This can be exploited by users with the unfiltered html capability, who are already permitted to use JavaScript in posts and comments. The vendor has acknowledged and fixed the issue.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 3.6.34, update to version 3.6.34 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the unfiltered html capability to minimize the risk of exploitation.
