CVE-2023-5537

CVSS v3.1

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Delete Usermeta plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.1.2
Description The issue is due to missing nonce validation on the delumet options page() function, making it possible for unauthenticated attackers to remove user meta for arbitrary users via a forged request. This can be achieved by tricking a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking on a link.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 1.1.2, consider disabling the delumet options page() function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the plugin's functionality to minimize the risk of arbitrary user meta removal.
