Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on several functions corresponding to AJAX actions. This allows unauthenticated attackers to invoke those actions via a forged request if they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.

Recommendations For versions up to, and including, 2.8.5, update to a version later than 2.8.5 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to AJAX actions related to the Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons plugin until a patch is available.
