Description
The issue arises from insufficient escaping on the
user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query in the plugin's shortcode, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to append additional SQL queries. This can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.Recommendations
For WD WidgetTwitter plugin for WordPress versions up to, and including, 1.0.9, consider updating to a version that addresses the SQL Injection issue, as no specific workaround is provided for these versions.
