Description
The issue is related to an improper authorization check of local device settings in TeamViewer Remote, allowing an unprivileged user to change basic local device settings even though the options were locked. This can result in unwanted changes to the configuration. The vulnerability is associated with deficiencies in the authorization procedure, which can be exploited by an attacker to modify the primary settings of the local device.
Recommendations
For versions 15.41 through 15.42.7, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue to prevent unauthorized changes to local device settings.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
