CVSS v3.1

7.0

High

VectorAV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions through 6.3.8
Description A use-after-free issue was found in the ravb remove() function in the drivers/net/ethernet/renesas/ravb main.c module of the Linux kernel. This issue is related to a race condition that allows for the reuse of previously freed memory. Exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions through 6.3.8, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the ravb remove() function until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
