Description
The issue concerns error handling in the
fm10k init module() function. It was introduced in version v3.18 and is fixed in Linux Kernel version v5.15.82. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven.Recommendations
For versions prior to v5.15.82, update to Linux Kernel version v5.15.82 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the
