Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow caused by improper bounds checking in the Federated configuration. This could allow a local user with SYSADM privileges to overflow the buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system, potentially leading to code execution or denial of service.
Recommendations
For IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) version 11.5, consider restricting access to the Federated configuration to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
