Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read in memory, which could allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information. This vulnerability may lead to the disclosure of sensitive memory and could be leveraged to bypass mitigations such as Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR). Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations
For Adobe InDesign versions ID18.3 and earlier, update to a version later than ID18.3 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe InDesign versions ID17.4.1 and earlier, update to a version later than ID17.4.1 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the opening of files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
