Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this to bypass mitigations such as ASLR. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is associated with a buffer read out of bounds in memory, which may allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected information.
Recommendations
For Adobe InDesign versions ID18.3 and earlier, update to a version later than ID18.3 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe InDesign versions ID17.4.1 and earlier, update to a version later than ID17.4.1 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of potentially malicious files until a patch is available.
