CVE-2023-22007

CVSS v2.0

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:M/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MySQL Server versions 5.7.41 and prior MySQL Server versions 8.0.32 and prior
Description The issue is related to errors in handling input data in the MySQL Server replication component. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, resulting in the ability to hang or crash the MySQL Server. The vulnerability can be easily exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 5.7.41 and prior, update to a version later than 5.7.41 to resolve the issue. For MySQL Server versions 8.0.32 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.32 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation.
