Description The issue is related to an improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory, also known as a 'Path Traversal' vulnerability. This may allow a remote and authenticated attacker to retrieve arbitrary files from the underlying filesystem via specially crafted web requests.
Recommendations For FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager management interface versions 6.4 through 7.2.1, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. For FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager management interface versions 7.0.0 through 7.0.5, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the management interface to minimize the risk of exploitation.
