Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Google Chrome versions prior to 112.0.5615.49
Description
The issue is related to inadequate access control in the Sandbox component of Google Chrome, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information, compromise its integrity, or cause a denial of service. Specifically, the vulnerability allows an attacker who has compromised the renderer process to perform arbitrary read/write operations via a malicious file.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 112.0.5615.49, update to version 112.0.5615.49 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive information and files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
