Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the
get parentControl list Info function of the Tenda AC8 router's firmware, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability can be exploited via the time parameter in the get parentControl list Info function.Recommendations
For Tenda AC8 versions prior to V16.03.34.06, consider disabling the
get parentControl list Info function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the time parameter in the affected function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
