Description The issue is related to a use after free in the Network component, which could allow a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. This could lead to a denial of service or possibly other impacts. The attacker must have elicited a browser shutdown to exploit this issue.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 116.0.5845.96, update to version 116.0.5845.96 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of crafted HTML pages that could trigger the browser shutdown and subsequent exploitation.
