Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 23.003.20244 and earlier Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 20.005.30467 and earlier Adobe Acrobat 2020 Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020 Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud Adobe Acrobat Reader Document Cloud
Description A Use-After-Free vulnerability could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass mitigations such as ASLR. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is related to the use of memory after it has been freed, which may allow an attacker to cause memory damage.
Recommendations For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 23.003.20244 and earlier, update to a version later than 23.003.20244 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Acrobat Reader versions 20.005.30467 and earlier, update to a version later than 20.005.30467 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Acrobat 2020, Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020, Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud, and Adobe Acrobat Reader Document Cloud, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of JBIG2 file parsing until a patch is available. Restrict access to malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
