| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Joplin versions prior to 2.11.5
Description
The issue is related to the lack of protection of the web page structure in the Joplin note-taking application, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack using a specially crafted SVG file with a USE element.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 2.11.5, update to version 2.11.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of SVG documents or disabling the rendering of USE elements in SVG files until a patch is applied.
Fix
