Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux Kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free flaw was found in the memory management subsystem of the Linux Kernel, specifically in mm/mempolicy.c. This issue is caused by a race between
mbind() and VMA-locked page fault, which may allow a local attacker to crash the system or lead to a kernel information leak. The flaw is related to the do mbind() function and is caused by the reuse of previously freed memory due to concurrent access to a resource, resulting in a race condition.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
