VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions libtiff version 4.5.0
Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow on the stack in the extractcontigsamplesbytes() function of the libtiff library. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. The vulnerable function is located at /libtiff/tools/tiffcrop.c:3215.
Recommendations For libtiff version 4.5.0, consider disabling the extractcontigsamplesbytes() function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available.
