Description
The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the
set dmvpn function of the Milesight UR32L router's firmware, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. A specially crafted HTTP request can trigger this buffer overflow, specifically affecting the gre ip and gre mask variables.Recommendations
For Milesight UR32L version 32.3.0.5, consider disabling the
set dmvpn function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation.
Restrict access to the vtysh ubus binary to minimize the risk of arbitrary code execution.
