CVSS v2.0

8.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:M/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Milesight UR32L version 32.3.0.5
Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the set dmvpn function of the Milesight UR32L router's firmware, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. A specially crafted HTTP request can trigger this buffer overflow, specifically affecting the gre ip and gre mask variables.
Recommendations For Milesight UR32L version 32.3.0.5, consider disabling the set dmvpn function until a patch is available to prevent exploitation. Restrict access to the vtysh ubus binary to minimize the risk of arbitrary code execution. Avoid using the gre ip and gre mask variables in the affected HTTP requests until the issue is resolved.
