CVE-2023-25100

CVSS v2.0

9.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Milesight UR32L version 32.3.0.5
Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow in the set qos function of the Milesight UR32L's firmware, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. This occurs due to the use of an unsafe sprintf pattern. A specially crafted HTTP request can trigger this issue, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. The buffer overflow is associated with the default class variable.
Recommendations For Milesight UR32L version 32.3.0.5, consider disabling the set qos function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vtysh ubus binary to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the default class variable in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
