CVE-2023-25092

CVSS v2.0

8.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:M/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Milesight UR32L version 32.3.0.5
Description The issue is caused by a buffer overflow vulnerability in the handle interface acl function of the Milesight UR32L router's firmware. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. The buffer overflow occurs due to the use of an unsafe sprintf pattern and can be triggered by a specially crafted HTTP request. The interface and out acl variables are involved in this vulnerability.
Recommendations For Milesight UR32L version 32.3.0.5, consider disabling the handle interface acl function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vtysh ubus binary to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the interface and out acl variables in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
