CVE-2022-37052

CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Poppler version 22.07.0
Description The issue is related to a reachable Object::getString assertion in the Poppler library for rendering PDF files. This is due to insufficient use of the assert() function. Exploitation of this issue may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. The failure occurs in the markObject function.
Recommendations For Poppler version 22.07.0, consider disabling the Object::getString() function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the markObject function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
