VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions WinRAR version 6.11.0.0
Description This issue allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations. User interaction is required, where the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw exists within the parsing of ZIP files, where crafted data can trigger a read past the end of an allocated buffer. This can be leveraged to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
Recommendations For version 6.11.0.0, consider disabling the ZIP file parsing functionality until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially malicious ZIP files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
