High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) versions 11.1 and 11.5
Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the database management system, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. This can happen when the server uses a specially crafted wrapper with certain options, potentially causing the server to crash.
Recommendations
For versions 11.1 and 11.5, consider disabling the use of specially crafted wrappers with certain options until a patch is available. Restrict access to the federated server to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
