CVSS v2.0

7.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions IBM DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5
Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the IBM DB2 and DB2 Connect Server, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. This can be achieved with a specially crafted query on certain tables.
Recommendations For versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5, consider restricting access to certain tables until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using specially crafted queries on vulnerable tables until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
