Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the
SetWLanRadioSecurity function via the Encryption parameter. This allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker.Recommendations
For D-Link DIR-823G version A1V1.0.2B05, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
SetWLanRadioSecurity function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the Encryption parameter in the affected function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
