CVSS v2.0

9.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Fortinet FortiWLM versions 8.5.0 through 8.5.4 Fortinet FortiWLM versions 8.6.0 through 8.6.5
Description The issue is related to an improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command, also known as 'OS command injection'. This allows an attacker to execute unauthorized code or commands via specifically crafted HTTP GET request parameters. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker using a specially formed HTTP GET request, potentially leading to the execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations For Fortinet FortiWLM versions 8.5.0 through 8.5.4, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk. For Fortinet FortiWLM versions 8.6.0 through 8.6.5, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the HTTP GET request parameters that can be used to exploit the OS command injection until a patch is available.
