Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. This can be achieved with a specially crafted SQL statement using External Tables.
Recommendations
For IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) version 11.5, consider restricting the use of External Tables until a patch is available to prevent potential denial of service attacks. As a temporary workaround, avoid using specially crafted SQL statements that could exploit this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
