| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Ditty WordPress plugin versions prior to 3.1.25
Description
The issue arises from the plugin's failure to properly sanitise and escape certain parameters and generated URLs, leading to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. This could be exploited against high-privilege users, such as administrators. The vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack, potentially compromising the website's security.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 3.1.25, update to version 3.1.25 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the plugin's functionality for high-privilege users until the update is applied.
