| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the database management system, which may allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. A database administrator of one database may execute code or read/write files from another database within the same instance.
Recommendations
For versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5, consider restricting access to sensitive databases and files to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling remote database administration capabilities until a fix is applied.
Restrict access to the database instance to minimize the risk of exploitation.
