| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM Security Directory Server version 6.4.0
Description
The issue is related to an XML External Entity Injection (XXE) attack when processing XML data. A remote attacker could exploit this to expose sensitive information or consume memory resources, potentially impacting the confidentiality and availability of protected information.
Recommendations
For IBM Security Directory Server version 6.4.0, consider disabling XML processing or restricting access to sensitive information as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restricting the use of external entities in XML data may also help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
