Description The issue exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure in ColdFusion, allowing a remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting attack. If an unauthenticated attacker can convince a victim to visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page, malicious JavaScript content may be executed within the context of the victim's browser.

Recommendations For Adobe ColdFusion versions 2023.5 and earlier, update to a version later than 2023.5 to resolve the issue. For Adobe ColdFusion versions 2021.11 and earlier, update to a version later than 2021.11 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable pages until a patch is available.
