| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Bridge versions 13.0.4 and earlier
Adobe Bridge versions 14.0.0 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to the use of an uninitialized pointer in Adobe Bridge, which could lead to the disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could exploit this to bypass security mitigations such as Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR). Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations
For Adobe Bridge versions 13.0.4 and earlier, update to a version later than 13.0.4 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Bridge versions 14.0.0 and earlier, update to a version later than 14.0.0 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of Adobe Bridge to open files from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
Fix
Access of Uninitialized Pointer
