Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read when parsing a crafted file, potentially allowing an attacker to execute code in the context of the current user. This requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is associated with a buffer read beyond allocated memory, which could be leveraged for remote code execution.
Recommendations
For Adobe Media Encoder versions 24.0.2 and earlier, update to a version that addresses the out-of-bounds read vulnerability.
For Adobe Media Encoder versions 23.6 and earlier, update to a version that addresses the out-of-bounds read vulnerability.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of crafted or untrusted files with Adobe Media Encoder until a patch is available.
