Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This vulnerability is associated with a buffer overflow in memory, which can allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe After Effects versions 24.0.2 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue.
For Adobe After Effects versions 23.6 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the opening of files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
