CVE-2023-48810

CVSS v2.0

10

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions TOTOLINK X6000R version V9.4.0cu.852 B20230719
Description The issue exists due to the lack of neutralization of special elements used in the operating system command. This allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands. The sub 4119A0 function in the shttpd file obtains fields from the front-end through the Uci Set The Str function, which, when passed to the CsteSystem function, creates a command execution vulnerability.
Recommendations For TOTOLINK X6000R version V9.4.0cu.852 B20230719, consider disabling the sub 4119A0 function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the shttpd file to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Uci Set The Str function in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
