CVE-2023-38003

CVSS v2.0

8.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:M/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5
Description The issue is related to insufficient access control in the IBM DB2 database management system. Exploitation of this issue could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands. A user with DATAACCESS privileges may be able to execute routines they should not have access to.
Recommendations For versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5, consider restricting the DATAACCESS privileges to minimize the risk of exploitation until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the execution of routines for users with DATAACCESS privileges until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
