| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description
The issue is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be exploited by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. This could lead to the execution of malicious JavaScript in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available to prevent the injection of malicious scripts. Restrict access to vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable form fields in the affected Adobe Experience Manager versions until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
