CVE-2023-48594

CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim’s browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability is also related to the lack of protection of the web page structure, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable form fields to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable fields in the affected Adobe Experience Manager versions until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
