CVE-2023-48556

CVSS v2.0

6.4

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a Cross-site Scripting (DOM-based XSS) vulnerability. It can be exploited if a low-privileged attacker convinces a victim to visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page, allowing malicious JavaScript content to be executed within the context of the victim's browser. The vulnerability is also described as a failure to protect the structure of a web page, which can allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using URLs that reference vulnerable pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
