| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be exploited by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. This could lead to the execution of malicious JavaScript in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability is also described as a failure to protect the structure of web pages, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, update to a version that includes a fix for this issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to vulnerable form fields to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable fields in web pages until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
