Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It could be exploited by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. When a victim browses to the page containing the vulnerable field, malicious JavaScript may be executed in their browser. The vulnerability exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to conduct an XSS attack.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable form fields in the affected versions until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
