CVE-2023-48521

CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier
Description The issue is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be exploited by a low-privileged attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. This could lead to the execution of malicious JavaScript in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability exists due to inadequate protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to conduct an XSS attack.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.18 and earlier, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available to prevent the injection of malicious scripts. Restrict access to sensitive pages that may contain vulnerable fields to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable form fields in the affected versions until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
