Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow in the cfgsave function of the HTTP service in D-Link G416 wireless routers. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the affected device. The vulnerability exists due to the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root. The specific flaw exists within the HTTP service listening on TCP port 80.
