Description
The issue is related to an improper certificate validation in Smartcard authentication, allowing an attacker to authenticate as another user given their public key if they use Smartcard authentication. This feature is experimental and must be manually enabled by an administrator.
Recommendations
For versions 11.6 through 16.4.3, update to version 16.4.4 or later.
For versions 16.5 through 16.5.3, update to version 16.5.4 or later.
For versions 16.6 through 16.6.1, update to version 16.6.2 or later.
As a temporary workaround, consider disabling Smartcard authentication until a patch is available.
