Description
The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the database management system, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. This can occur when a specially crafted cursor is used.
Recommendations
For IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) version 11.5, consider disabling the use of specially crafted cursors as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the federated server to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
