VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5
Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the database management system, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service by sending a specially crafted query. An authenticated user with CONNECT privileges can cause this denial of service.
Recommendations For versions 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5, consider restricting access to the database until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the ability to execute specially crafted queries until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
